Donald B. Franklin, Jr., MD

Dr. Donald Franklin is a principal investigator for Southeast Renal Research Institute.  He earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, GA, completed his internal medicine and residency at University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. He completed his Nephrology Fellowship at Vanderbilt University, Nashville.

Dr. Franklin is currently Board Certified with ABIM in Internal Medicine, and Nephrology.

Dr. Franklin is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine along with Chief Division of Nephrology at the University Of Tennessee College Of Medicine, Chattanooga Unit and Medical Director of Erlanger Regional Kidney Transplant Program.

He is currently a member of the Chattanooga Hamilton County Medical Society and a Delegate for the Tennessee Medical Society House of Delegates. He is also a Delegate for Tennessee-American Medical Association House of Delegates.
